Eko Hot Blog reports that, in a heartfelt Eid message, Alhaji Seriki Akanni (popularly known as Bamu), a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Epe Division, extended warm greetings to all Muslims.
In the message released on Wednesday, he expressed his hopes for a brighter future for Nigeria.
Emphasizing the current challenges facing the nation, the member of the Governor’s Advisory Council (GAC), the highest decision-making body of the APC in Lagos, underscored the power of prayer in navigating through tough times.
“Although Nigeria is facing difficulties, with prayers, we can overcome them,” Alhaji Akanni remarked, highlighting the importance of fostering love and unity within the community. He emphasized that love is essential in preventing conflicts and fostering harmony.
Addressing economic concerns, he called on individuals not to exploit the high exchange rates for personal gain, urging them to consider the well-being of others.
“Those who take advantage of the high dollar rates to inflate prices should cease such actions,” he urged.
Alhaji Akanni also touched upon the issue of security, urging both citizens and security agencies to be vigilant and truthful in their actions.
He emphasized the need for collaboration and transparency in addressing security challenges.
In a message of national unity, the political leader called for Nigerians to work together, transcending religious and ethnic divides.
“We should work in unity, regardless of our religious affiliations, for the progress of our nation,” he stressed.
Furthermore, Alhaji Akanni urged those who are more privileged to assist the less fortunate in society, emphasizing the importance of compassion and generosity.
In closing, he prayed for divine guidance for President Bola Tinubu and pledged to continue contributing positively to society and the nation as a whole.
