EKO HOT BLOG reports that the Lagos State Government has reversed the decision to declare Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday, May 2, 3, 4, as public holidays to commemorate Eid-el-Fitr and International Workers Day this year.
In a memo earlier released by the head of service, Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday, May 2, 3, 4, has been declared as work-free days to celebrate Eid-el-Fitr and International Workers Day this year.
The decision which was a later reversed in a memo released today by the Head of Service declaring only Monday and Tuesday, May 2 & 3 as public holidays.
According to the statement, the declaration was made on behalf of the Lagos State government in Lagos by the Head of Service, Mr Hakeem Muri-Okunola.

According to the statement, the Head of Service congratulated Muslims and urged all Nigerians to use this year’s Eid-el-Fitr celebration to pray for the country’s peace, stability, and economic transformation.
