Eko Hot Blog reports that Dr. Tunji Alausa, the Minister of State for Health and Social Welfare, has congratulated the Muslim faithful in Nigeria at Eid-el-Kabir.
In a message shared on Sunday, Dr. Alausa prayed for Allah’s blessings for everyone celebrating.
The health minister also prayed for the happiness, success, and prosperity of the Muslim faithful.
He further wished Muslims a wonderful Sallah celebration.
“Eid Mubarak! As we celebrate this joyous occasion, may Allah’s blessings fill your and your families lives with happiness, success, and prosperity,” Dr. Alausa wrote.
“I wish you a wonderful Eid surrounded by loved ones. Barka da Sallah!”
Dr. Alausa assumed office as Nigeria’s second health minister in August 2023.
Since that time, he has actively been a messenger of the Bola Tinubu administration’s ambitious health policies.
Recently, the minister raised the alarm on the rise in breast cancer rates in the country, noting that the incidence has more than doubled since the 1960s.
He disclosed the federal government’s intention to eliminate cancer through early detection strategies.
“Our 4-point agenda includes improving healthcare governance, improving population health outcomes, unlocking the healthcare value chain, and ensuring health security for Nigerians,” he added.
