Eight Health Workers Test Positive For COVID-19 In Ogun

Eight workers of Federal Medical Centre(FMC) Abeokuta, Ogun have tested positive for coronavirus.

The Head, Public Relations and Information, Mr Segun Orisajo, confirmed this in a statement on behalf of Medical Director, Prof. Adewale Musa-Olomu.

He listed that those majorly affected were the medical doctors, nurses and an administrative staff whom had close contact with the 2-year-old girl who was confirmed positive in the state.

Reacting to this, Musa-Olomu said although none of the staff is asymptomatic, but they have been asked to proceed on self isolation and basic treatment commenced for them.

The Medical Director reassured that the medical workers will return back to duty as soon as possible
