The midfielder has been crucial for Man city in the recently concluded season and helped Guardiola’s men to win the EPL.
Ruben Dias
Having also lifted the EPL trophy with City, Ruben Dias was also the FWA Footballer of the year award beating the likes of Kane and Foden
Harry Kane
The Tottenham striker who won the EPL goalscorer and playmaker award also made the nomination list.
Bruno Fernandez
Manchester United’s best player of the season with 18 goals and 12 assists was also included in the 8 man list by EPL.
Mohamed Salah
Having helped Liverpool clinch a third-place finish in the EPL scoring 22 goals and providing 5 assists, that form earned him a place in the shortlist for the annual prize.
Mason Mount
Fresh from the UCL win with Chelsea, Mason Mount who won Chelsea player of the year also made the list.
Aston Villa’s Grealish and West Ham’s Thomas Soucek complete the list of nominees for the best player of the season.
