Ojudu, an Ado-ekiti born Journalist turned Politiciab spent 26years in Media Pratice before he left his post in August 2010 as the Group Managing Editor of Independent Communication Network to run for the Ekiti Central Senatorial Seat.
However, The 59years-old Politician emerged winner of the 2011 Ekiti Central Senatorial Election as the ACN Candidate. Ojodu stood for re-election in 2015 under the APC platform but lost to Fatima Raji-rasaki of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP). On the 7th of January, He was appointed as Special Adviser on Political Matters to President Muhammadu Buhari, a position he occupies till date.
Oni, an Ifaki-ekiti born Chemical Engineer turned Politician came into political limelight after his emergence as the PDP Governorship Candidate in December 2006, He was decleared winner of the April 2007 Governorship Election and was sworn-in as Governor on the 29th of May, 2007.
After 3years of Legal battle, The 66years-old Politician was sacked from Office and was subsequently replaced by the Dr. Kayode Fayemi of the Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN). Oni joined the All Progressives Congress in 2014 and served as the party’s Deputy National Chairman (South) until May 2018.
He participated in the 2018 APC Governorship Primaries but lost to Dr. Kayode Fayemi. However, he returned to his former party, the PDP in January 2020.
Olusola-Eleka, 52 is the immediate past Deputy Governor of Ekiti State under the Ayodele Fayose-led Administration. The Ikere-ekiti indigene is a Former Lecturer at the Famous Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-ife. In 2014, he was elected as Deputy Governor of Ekiti State, he served in that capacity until October 2018.
Olusola-Eleka contested the Ekiti 2018 Gubernatorial Election under the PDP platform but lost to the incumbent Governor Kayode Fayemi of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Adeyeye, an Ise-ekiti Lawyer, Activist and Politician was the Executive Chairman of the Ekiti State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB) under the Administration of Former Governor, Segun Oni between 2007 and 2010.
Later in July 2014, he was appointed as Minister of State for Works by the then President Goodluck Jonathan, a position he held until May 2015. In 2018, 63years-old Politician declared intrest in Ekiti Governorship Seat and ran for the PDP Ticket but lost to Professor Kolapo Olusola-Eleka at the Primaries, a development that made him defect to the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Adeyeye however contested for and won the Ekiti South Senatorial Seat in 2019 but was sacked by an Appeal Court after Five Months in Office.
