EKo Hot Blog reports that the Ekiti State Working Committee of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has unanimously passed a vote of confidence on Governor Biodun Oyebanji.
During the decision which was made during a meeting at the party’s Secretariat in Ajilosun, Ado-Ekiti on Thursday, they have resolved to support his bid for a second term in office.
The extended executive council, including the state working committee and party leaders from the 16 local government areas, reviewed the Governor’s performance and endorsed him for another term.
The meeting was attended by Deputy Governor Chief (Mrs.) Monisade Afuye, Speaker Adeoye Aribasoye, Special Adviser on Political and Inter-party Matters Chief Jide Awe, and other dignitaries. Mr. Mike Akinleye, Chairman of APC Ado Local Government, moved the motion to endorse Governor Oyebanji for a second term. The motion was seconded by the party’s state Secretary, Mr. Sola Arogundade.

Ekiti APC Acting Chairman, Mr. Sola Eleshin, stated that all the State executives have resolved that the Governor should continue in office beyond 2026. This decision is based on his outstanding performance across various sectors.
Eleshin highlighted the Governor’s visits to various ward meetings and the implementation of policies and programs that have brought relief to the people of Ekiti. According to him, these efforts have enabled the Governor to govern effectively, leading to significant socio-economic development in the state and a better quality of life for its residents.
Governor Oyebanji expressed his gratitude to the party leadership, the state working committee, and his two predecessors, Otunba Niyi Adebayo and Dr. Kayode Fayemi, for their support in ensuring the success of his administration.
