Ekiti APC Suspends Local Government Primaries Indefinitely
– APC suspended Local Government primaries in two local Government areas
– There would be breakdown of law and order. And it was on this basis we decided to postpone the election
– The indefinite postponement has created fear and re-awakened the suspicion of some aspirants who alleged the party leadership of plotting to impose its anointed candidates on the people
The ruling All Progressives Congress(APC) has suspended indefinitely the local Government Primaries in Ado and Ikole Local Government over security issues while the elections was held in other local councils in the state.
The APC, ondo spokesperson, Ade Ajayi, said that the decision was reached by the party’s decision makers following security report that some hooligans were plotting to disrupt the exercise.
Ajayi said: “that there would be breakdown of law and order. And it was on this basis we decided to postpone the election in the two local governments until further notice.

“The indefinite postponement has created fear and re-awakened the suspicion of some aspirants who alleged the party leadership of plotting to impose its anointed candidates on the people.”
Meanwhile, Two of the aspirants Alhaji Tajudeen Gidado, and Mrs. Tosin Aluko, expressed displeasure and accused the leadership of the party of being undemocratic, warning that they would resist any attempt to impose any candidate on the party.
According to Mrs. Aluko,She lamented that the leadership of the party were determined to impose a candidate on the people.
Reacting to the statement,the party spokesperson said: “the statement from one of its aspirants lacks truth in all measure.”
