By Elizabeth Bamidele
The Ikole Ekiti Progressives and Restoration Council (IPRC) has honored the Governor of Ekiti State, Mr. Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji, with a special gift in recognition of his outstanding achievements and contributions to the growth and development of the state.
The community association in Ikole Ekiti presented the gift during the governor’s working visit to the Ikole Ekiti Local Government Area.
According to reports made available to newsmen in Ado Ekiti on Monday and signed by the IPRC, the governor visited the Ikole Ekiti Township Road, linking Ilu-Omooba to Ijesa Isu and Ikole Ekiti, where he commissioned a 33KVA electricity project and upgraded the Ikole Ekiti Specialist Hospital to a Federal Medical Centre.
While receiving the gift, the governor urged the people of the Ikole Ekiti Council Areas to cooperate with his administration to achieve more in the coming years, noting that their sons and daughters working with him are adding significant value to his government. He also expressed gratitude to the traditional rulers for their support and cooperation.
Reacting on behalf of the association, Professor Prince Samuel Olusola Fafure explained that the people of Ikole Ekiti appreciate the governor’s great work, which is why they presented him with a statue made from natural materials.
