Ekiti State Correspondent Chapel Of NUJ Appoints New Executives
The Correspondent chapel, Ekiti chapter of the Nigerian Union of Journalist (NUJ), has elected new executives that will lead the chapel’s affairs for the next three years.
Reports had it that the new electives ran unopposed in the elections held on Friday, much to the chapel’s overwhelming support.
Ekohotblog gathered that Victor Ogunje from ThisDay was elected Chairman, while the Vice-Chairman, Raphael Ogbonnaiye, came from Daily Trust.
Other elected officials include Soyemi Oluyinka (Alaroye) as Treasurer, and Victor Akinkuolie (The Hope) emerged Secretary.
The new Chairman, Ogunje, reacting on behalf of other executives, thanked members of the chapel for their confidence in them and also solicited support for members of the executive for their term in office.

Ogunje promised that his leadership would bring about tremendous changes and transformation to the chapel, and also pledged to promote the spirit of unity and brotherhood.
Also speaking, Chairman of Ekiti NUJ Rotimi Ojomoyela, said, “I want to advise our new executives today to ensure that in the next three years the chapel would witness reforms and improvement especially on members.
“It is a call to service, and do not forget it is necessary and important that you work together with every member of this chapel.”
He called on members to think outside the box to make lives better for themselves as the media industry has been severely affected by the country’s current economic meltdown.
