Eko Club International Crowns New Mr. And Mrs. Eko At Dallas Meet

Eko Hot Blog reports that the 1st quarterly meeting of Eko Club International (ECI) for 2024, hosted by the Eko Club Dallas-Fort Worth chapter, witnessed an exciting competition to determine the new Mr. and Mrs. Eko.

The much-anticipated event took place during the all-white disco night on Friday.

According to Yeye Bisi Rokosu-Lawal, Social Secretary of ECI and Secretary/PRO for Eko Club New Jersey, the evening kicked off with an opening prayer before transitioning into the Mr. and Mrs. Eko competition.

“At this time, when we were about to start the competition, we called for volunteers to come outside. In the end, we had about seven members who volunteered to answer the questions,” she explained.

The competition consisted of a series of questions testing the participants’ knowledge of the Lagos State and ECI logos, as well as their awareness of the organization’s women chapters and presidents.

“Since March is Women’s Month, one question was, ‘How many women chapters do we currently have with women as their presidents?’. Another question was to name the women presidents and their chapters. They also had to know how long their tenure was,” Rokosu-Lawal elaborated.

The questions were prepared in advance, and four volunteer judges were tasked with evaluating the contestants’ responses. “Prior to that, I had already prepared questions, which were basic, like ‘What is the color of the Lagos State logo?’, ‘What are the elements in the Lagos State logo?’, and the same questions applied to the ECI logo, ‘What are the colors in the ECI logo?’, ‘What do these elements represent?'” she added.

After a timed round of answering the questions, the judges diligently scored the responses, and the winners were determined solely based on the highest points earned. “Whoever scored the most points, regardless of whether it was 100, 20, or 30 points (all the questions were worth 100 points), would be crowned the winner for the night,” Rokosu-Lawal clarified.
