The leadership of Eko Club International has confirmed the reelection of Lanre Ojo as its president for another term
– Ojo on his reelection for another term vowed that the good work will continue
– According to the president, the 2020 Medical Mission will also include a top notch surgical team
One of Nigeria’s leading social and philanthropic clubs, Eko Club International has entered another paradigm in its quest to leave impacts in the lives of people and the society.
This came with the reelection on Saturday, September 14, in San Antonio Texas, the United State of America, the Club’s president, Lanre Ojo , for another term.
The election was a major highlight of the club’s 11th recently concluded biennial conference.

In his post-election speech, Ojo admonished the members not to relent in their quest to make a difference in the lives of the needy, an attribute he said has been a lifestyle with the organisation from inception.
It needs be noted that the organisation has been in the forefront of making lives more meaningful to the under privileged through the provision of numerous projects both in the United States of America and in Lagos .
Ojo highlighted some of the club’s interventions to be in the area of provision of infrastructure in Nigeria, importantly the building of the Dr Nurudeen Olowopopo Clinic in Isolo; renovation of schools and hospitals, scholarship programmes for the needy as well as the annual medical outreach to Nigeria.
He cited The Eagle Awards ceremony slated for December in Lagos, at which Eko Club International would be awarded and celebrated with a trophy for its medical outreach as example of recognition of the impact its interventions in Lagos was making.
The president added that the member-chapters have also been encouraged to adopt various projects in their respective localities as a way of making more impact in the society.
Aside quality leadership, the organization draws tremendous strength from the commitment of members to laudable courses once identified.
This sharing common values has also accounted for the uncommon bonding amongst members in the organization, even as an organization is as strong as the members that constitute it, he said.
On his reelection for another term, the president said, “Let the good work continues”, informing that the The Eko Club International Medical Mission would continue to be a top priority, and that the 2020 Medical Mission will also include a top notch surgical team .
It is also the goal his administration to start the Eko Ckub international model School.
On this, the president said: “The Organisation has adopted to build Eko Club international Model School in all the five divisions of the State.
“It will no doubt be a daunting assignment but it will be accomplished given the antecedents of the members.”

Eko Club International, with presence in the USA, Canada and Europe is an umbrella organisation for all Lagosians in Diaspora, and the 11th Biennial Convention from the 5th to 7th of September 2019.
The epochal event commenced with a dinner reception with the Mayor of San Antonio, Ron Nirenberg where he pledged the readiness of the city of San Antonio to partner with Lagos state on business and trade relations.
The Friday, September 6th was the Economic forum day that was declared open by the City Council Man, Mr.Roberto Trevino and also witnessed an array of speakers providing insightful points and analyses on issues that border on the development of our beloved State.
The areas of discussion included Infrastructural Development, Waste to Wealth Programme, Educational programme, Tourism Potentials and Health.
The economic cooperation between the City of San Antonio and city of Lagos also took center stage of the discussion.
The Saturday events which of course was the grand finale was an opportunity to showcase what Lagosians do best.
The day started with the quarterly outreach programme where the club donated items worth about 50000 Thousand dollars to the residents of this facility.
This was followed by the General meeting and an election that ushered in new set of executives to steer the ship of the administration for another 2 year term.
The final event of the night was the Fund raising Dinner which was well graced by members and guests in distinguished attires.
