Eko Club International to Hold 12th Biennial Convention in New Orleans

  • Since its inception on the stroke of the new Millennium, Eko Club International has continued to foster cooperation and collaboration, unity, brotherhood and sisterhood amongst its members.

Eko Club International (ECI), the apex socio-cultural and socio-political community of Lagosians in the diaspora, is set to hold its 12th Biennial Convention in the year 2021.

Ekohotblog gathered that the event is slated to start on Friday, October 28th, 2021, with a party bus ride to New Orleans, United States of America.

Also, ECI will visit Greater Baton Rouge Food Bank on Friday, October 29th, to make donations to the victims of Hurricane IDA as part of the organization’s community outreach program.

The visit will kick-start the opening of the Economic Session of the 12th biennial convention of the organization starting on October 28th, and running through October 30th, 2021.

About 200 members are expected to be in attendance.

The mayor of Baton Rouge, Mayor Sharon Weston Broome is expected to declare the Economic Session open with the theme:

Food /Infrastructure and Community Safety- Strategy for Lagos state, Nigeria
Over 300 participants from United States, Europe and Canada, officials of the Lagos State Government and traditional rulers from Nigeria will be attending the convention.
