Eko Club USA Inc. Houston Chapter Celebrates 2024 Labor Day with Sports and Funfair

The Houston Chapter of Eko Club USA Inc. marked the 2024 Labor Day with a vibrant celebration, featuring sports activities and social gatherings at their clubhouse.

The event, held on the first Monday in September, paid tribute to the contributions of the labor movement to the advancement of the socioeconomic development of the United States of America, EKO HOT BLOG reports;

Most significantly, it is also a day set aside to recognize and appreciate members of the organization who have labored assiduously to the development of Eko Club USA Inc.
It was indeed an occasion celebrated by the Lagosian group with a medley of activities.

It was filled with games, food, and festivities, making it a memorable occasion for all attendees

In his welcoming address, the President of the Club, Hon Bashir Agoro, expressed his appreciation on behalf of the executives to all members for their responsiveness, which had been the mantra of the esteemed and the reason for the success of the event despite the short notice in putting the event together.

“We appreciate everyone who contributed to today’s success. To those who provided the food and drinks, we thank you.

May trouble never take away your source of income,” he said, acknowledging the efforts behind the event’s success.

The event was a great way to celebrate Labor Day, featuring the usual feasting and also a table tennis competition that showcased the skills of the Alakoro boys.

It was a day of relaxation, entertainment, and reflection on the significance of Labor Day, honoring the work and dedication of laborers and the contribution of our members to the development of Eko Club Houston.

Hon Lanre Oki, the organization’s PRO, commended the members and organizers for putting the event together in less than 24 hours and appreciated the contribution of sister chapters, Eko Club Houston Women and Eko Club San Antonio, to the organization’s success.

Eko Club USA Inc. is a community-based organization of Lagosians in the diaspora in Houston, Texas, established 27 years ago to promote cooperation, unity, and economic empowerment among its members. With chapters across the United States, Canada, and London, the organization also contributes positively to the advancement and prosperity of Lagos State.

The 2024 Labor Day celebration in Houston highlighted the spirit of brotherhood and collaboration within Eko Club USA Inc., reinforcing its commitment to fostering unity and growth among its members.
