EKO HOT BLOG reports that in connection with allegations of organ harvesting, the former Deputy President and Senator Ike Ekweremadu and his wife Beatrice appeared before the Uxbridge Magistrate Court in the UK on Thursday.
Recall that the Specialist Crime Team of the Metropolitan Police in London recently detained Ekweremadu and his wife, Beatrice, on suspicion of conspiring to obtain a child’s organs.
Since their arrest and subsequent charge before a London court, the pair have been detained, prompting mixed reactions from Nigerians.
The prosecutor had claimed that David Ukpo, who alleged that he was coerced to donate his kidney to the Senator’s daughter, is 15 years old
It was gathered that the case has now been adjourned to July 7 at Westminster Magistrate Court to enable the UK Attorney General, Suella Braverman, to determine whether the case will be tried in the country or Nigeria.
