Former Deputy Senate President Ike Ekweremadu, who was sentenced to 10 years in prison last year for human trafficking, is now under investigation by the London Metropolitan Police in connection with a new case.
This development was revealed in a documentary titled “Daniel vs Ekweremadu,” created by award-winning filmmaker and TV host Chude Jideonwo.
The first part of the two-part series was released on Friday, 23 August. According to the documentary, details of the ongoing investigation are limited due to its sensitive nature.

EKO HOT BLOG reports that a statement from Alexandra Meek, Senior Communications Manager for the Metropolitan Police, revealed that on 8 November 2022, detectives from the Met’s Specialist Crime unit arrested a woman in her 50s on suspicion of conspiracy to exploit for the purposes of organ harvesting.
The woman has since been released under investigation, and inquiries are still ongoing.
Chude Jideonwo explained that the name “Daniel” is a pseudonym used to protect the identity of the victim-survivor in Ekweremadu’s first conviction under the UK’s Modern Slavery Law, which led to his imprisonment along with his wife, Beatrice, and a doctor-friend, Obinna Obeta.
The documentary explores Ekweremadu’s dramatic fall from his position as Nigeria’s Deputy Senate President to his imprisonment in the UK, offering exclusive insights from British prosecutors, police, and the family of the victim-survivor.
