On Monday, October 11, 2021 Odo-Temu community in Ikosi-Ejinrin LCDA marked the International Day of the Girl-Child amid euphoria and jubilation following the groundbreaking ceremony held to commission a modern Primary Health Centre chaperoned by technocrat and Chairman of the LCDA, Hon Wale Raji Anomo.
The Health Centre is a fulfilment of an earlier promise by the LCDA Chairman who had pledged to erect a medical facility following an appeal by some of the community leaders. The medical facility is the first of its kind in the history of the community and will bring an end to the plight of journeying to neighbouring communities for medical services.

The project also echoes as a bold statement from the Chairman alongside his Vice, Alhaji Wasiu Dehinsilu, Chairperson Mrs Sijuade Anomo, the Council-Manager, Mr Ladipo Sobule, the Council Engineer and other Management team, Councillors, and other political Leaders in the LCDA who have worked their fingers to the bone to not just ensure access to quality healthcare but also deliver qualitative leadership across the board.
The foundation-laying of the Ultra-modern PHC was led by pioneer chairman of the LCDA, Alhaji Abdul Ganiyu Adio Akintola to deafening cheers from elated spectators.
Hon Wale Raji Anomo, while outlining his plans to commemorate his 100 days in office, also reiterated his unflinching commitment towards initiating and delivering richly impactful programs and projects for the people of Ikosi-Ejinrin.
The chairman also made a passionate appeal to his constituents, particularly the residents of the community to throw their weight behind the construction firm and fast-track the construction of the project, which has been pegged to reach completion in 14 weeks.
As gathered by Eko Hot Blog, the Primary Healthcare Centre when completed will house Female and Male wards of 16 beds capacity with its modern toilets, 2 Consultation rooms for medical professionals, delivery room for mothers, a 3-bed capacity delivery ward, a medical laboratory, pharmacy, dispense room and a general reception.
Residents, who could barely contain their excitement on the day, expressed appreciation to the chairman. They noted that the facility would finally bring an end the long and tortuous journey to Epe General Hospital for their medical needs.
