EKO HOT BLOG reports that a 53-year-old woman has reportedly been apprehended at a business Centre in Baruwa, Iyana Ipaja area of Lagos, where she was making photocopies and laminating electoral materials suspected to belong to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
The spokesman For the Lagos State Police, Benjamin Hundeyin disclosed that the woman was arrested on Thursday at about 4.00 p.m. at Candos Road of Baruwa area.
He added that the woman who was arrested inside a business centre where she was making photocopies with 550 different INEC materials.
The police spokesperson said the suspect was unable to explain how she came upon the electoral materials or state the purpose for photocopying them.
He said, “The laptop she used in printing the materials has been recovered and she couldn’t give a good account of how she came in possession of the materials.
“The case has been transferred to State CID Yaba for further investigation.”
