The federal government has summoned Iva Denoo, chargè d’ affaires of the high commission of Ghana to Nigeria over the demolition of a building at the Nigerian commission in Accra.
EkoHotBlog had reported how armed men invaded the commission on Friday, demolishing some apartments that were under construction.
In a tweet on Monday, Geoffrey Onyeama, said Denoo was summoned to give an urgent explanation on the attack as well as an update on security for diplomatic premises and staff.
“Summoned the Chargè d’ Affaires of the High Commission of #Ghana to Nigeria, Ms Iva Denoo to demand urgent explanation on the recent attacks on a residential building in our diplomatic premises and reinforcement of security around diplomatic premises and staff, “he tweeted.
Earlier, Onyeama said the federal government was in talks with Ghanaian authorities over the incident and demanded that those behind for the attack should be punished.
In its reaction, the Ghanaian government had said perpetrators of the act would be punished.
