Embrace Patience, Oba Ajayi Of Remo Charges Olanrewaju Awe And Olayemi Lawal At Nikkah Ceremony
By Babawale Solomon
Eko Hot Blog reports that Oba Babatunde Adewale Ajayi, the Akarigbo of Remo, has urged newlyweds, Olanrewaju Awe and Olayemi Lawal, to embrace patience in dealing with each other as a couple.
Oba Ajayi was the Royal father of the day during the reception of Olayemi and Olanrewaju Awe’s Nikkah wedding ceremony.
Addressing the couple with words of wisdom and blessings, the monarch conveyed his heartfelt congratulations and emphasized the significance of patience in building a blissful marriage.
He stated that, “I want to congratulate Olayemi and Olanrewaju for this wonderful union and would like to tell you that patience is the key to any blissful marriage. Those of us in it that are here today, it’s because of God’s grace.
“Once you are patient with each other, everything will fall in place.”
In a heartfelt expression of divine blessings, Oba Ajayi continued, “All I can say is that today we witness in your lives, the very best that God has designed for you, and as you go forth in that marriage, the good Lord will be with you.
“The Lord will shine His light upon you. Just as your parents have done for you, you will do for your children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren too.”
The royal figure also acknowledged the role of parents in the couple’s journey, urging Mr and Mrs Awe as well as Mr and Mrs Lawal to advise the couple regularly.
“With that being said, I want to appreciate the parents too, and I’m sure they will not stay away from them. It’s good you listen to your parents. I’m not one to advocate that parents should not interfere with their children’s marriage. They need advice. They need counseling. And by the grace of God, you will listen to those counsels.”
In a final benediction, Oba Ajayi wished the couple, “God’s blessings, God’s speed, and a greater tomorrow. You shall be blessed.”
The words of the Royal father echoed with heartfelt meaning as the couple embarked on their marital journey, surrounded by the blessings and wisdom of the revered Akarigbo of Remo.
