In a statement shared on his verified Twitter handle, Sani predicted that Emefiele would be helpless against those who fought the apex bank’s Naira redesign policy, including President-elect Bola Tinubu and his supporters in the All Progressives Congress (APC).
The Supreme Court nullified the Naira redesign policy on Friday, ending the controversy surrounding the matter. However, Sani fears that Emefiele may not be protected when Buhari leaves office, leaving him vulnerable to those who opposed the policy.
Sani’s comments have generated mixed reactions on social media, with some Nigerians expressing their support for his views while others have dismissed them as baseless.
