Bauchi Mourns As Emir Of Ningi Dies After 40 Years On The Throne

The Emir of Ningi, Alhaji (Dr.) Yunusa Muhammad Danyaya, a highly respected First-Class Emir in Bauchi State, has passed away at the age of 88.

Danyaya, who served on the throne for over 40 years, died on Sunday morning. Funeral rites will be held later at the Emirate Palace in accordance with Islamic customs.

EKO HOT BLOG reports that in a statement issued by his media aide, Mukhtar Gidado, Bauchi State Governor Bala Mohammed expressed deep condolences, describing the late Emir as a man of peace, wisdom, and unwavering dedication to his people’s welfare.

Governor Mohammed emphasized that the late monarch’s reign was marked by exemplary leadership, fostering unity, progress, and development across the Ningi Emirate.

He noted that the Emir’s legacy as a guardian of tradition, culture, and Islamic values would continue to inspire future generations.

The Governor extended the state government’s heartfelt sympathies to the Emir’s family, the Ningi Emirate Council, and all the people of Bauchi State.

He prayed for Almighty Allah to grant the late Emir eternal peace in Jannatul Firdaus and to provide strength and fortitude to those affected by this loss.
