Emotional Shakira Bids Farewell To Barcelona Following Eviction

EKO HOT BLOG reports that after being served an eviction notice by her ex-boyfriend Gerard Pique’s father, Joan Pique, Colombian singer Shakira bid an emotional farewell to her home in Barcelona as she left for Miami with her two sons on April 3, 2023.

According to Spanish media reports, Shakira received an email from Joan Pique on March 13, asking her to vacate the former couple’s home by April 30 or pay compensation. The house was previously co-owned by Shakira and Gerard Pique, but Joan Pique became the sole shareholder after the couple’s split.

Shakira, 46, famously installed a witch on the balcony of the house as a supposed jab at Pique’s mother, who lives next door. Pique, 35, is currently dating 24-year-old Clara Chia Marti.

The “Hips Don’t Lie” singer was seen looking tearful at the airport dressed in double-denim as she hugged her friends and family before boarding her private jet. Her two sons, Milan and Sasha, aged 10 and 8 respectively, were also with her, and they are rumored to start school in America on April 11.

On Sunday, April 2, Shakira took to Twitter to announce her departure, saying that she had settled in Barcelona to give her children stability, but now they were looking for the same in another corner of the world next to family, friends, and the sea.

She also thanked her Spanish fans for their love and loyalty, adding that she was starting a new chapter in the search for their happiness.
