EKO HOT BLOG reports the Special Adviser to the Lagos State Governor, Dr Tajudeen Afolabi, revealed on Tuesday that 545 indigent Lagosians have received financial aid through the Office’s Financial Assistance Programme, ‘Sanwo-Olu Cares, Sanwo-Olu Listens.’
Afolabi shared this information during a press briefing at Alausa, emphasizing the government’s commitment to supporting vulnerable citizens.
He mentioned an influx of additional requests for financial assistance, assuring that the government, under Mr. Governor’s approval, would address these needs soon.
‘Sanwo-Olu Cares, Sanwo-Olu Listens’ exemplifies the Lagos State Government’s dedication to providing essential relief and improving the quality of life for its most vulnerable citizens.
Afolabi highlighted the government’s unwavering commitment to alleviating financial constraints for recipients and their families, emphasizing the program’s role in delivering the dividends of good governance promised by Mr. Governor.
Discussing another social intervention initiative, Afolabi shed light on the Mother, Infant & Child Development Programme.
Tailored for indigent pregnant mothers selected across various local government areas and local council development areas public health centers, the program involves monitoring and providing essential food items rich in nutrients for the proper development of both the mother and child.
Afolabi reiterated the government’s dedication to ensuring these pregnant mothers receive the best healthcare services.
The announcements underscore the proactive efforts of the Lagos State Government in addressing the needs of its citizens through targeted social intervention programs.
