EKO HOT BLOG reports that a former Speaker of Lagos State House Of Assembly and a member of the Governor Advisory Council (GAC), Rt. Hon Adeyemi Ikuforiji and Chairman of Senate Committee on Industries, Senator Tokunbo Abiru FCA, have showered encomiums on Engr Abiola Okanlawon Olowu (OKL) towards his immense contributions to the development of his immediate community over the years.

The adulation came on the heels of the appointment of Engr Olowu as the Special Adviser on Commerce and Industries by His Excellency Babajide Olusola Sanwoolu the Governor of Lagos State.
This online media platform recalls that Lagos State Governor on Thursday 4th August 2022 appointed Hon. (Engr.) Abiola Okanlawon Olowu (OKL) as his new Special Adviser on Commerce, Industry, and Cooperatives.
Hon Ikuforiji exemplified the appointee, who has over the years been a remarkable associate, based on his track record of extraordinary and profitable leadership qualities, stressing that his appointment was worthy as a dependable bureaucrat and an exemplar of dedication to service.
“Certainly your willingness to volunteer your time and effort, as well as express your opinions on issues of development, has contributed to your appointment for the post. Your commitment and dedication fetch you this appointment. I trust that you will continue to work for the improvement of our dear State as you have been doing before.
“I have no doubt in mind that you will excel in your new task. You are an outstanding son of the Epe Division and I’m personally proud of your performance from your days in the civil service of our beloved state to your selfless services as a member of society. Your contribution to the socio-economic development of our division and indeed our state is written in gold.
“I’m very familiar with your career for years and was excited about your appointment. You have always impressed me with your clear vision and ability to get the job done against all odds, the success recorded during your administration as Director of Rural Electrification is top-notch. I hope you will continue to work for the betterment of the state with your technocratic experience. I wish you well in your new post and your future endeavours”, the statement read in part.
On his part, Senator Abiru commended Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu for appointing a capable and efficient Engr Olowu.
The Banker turned Lawmaker said that the appointee who is a formidable political heavyweight in Ibeju-Lekki and Lagos East had hitherto paid his dues in the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC in Lagos.
