#EndSARS: Dreaded Awawa Boys Invade Lagos Community

Emerging details have it that the dreaded Lagos gang, Awawa Boys have started keying into the aftermath of #EndSars crisis to openly carry out their nefarious activities.

The Gang with roots in Agege area of Lagos state is known for robbery and violent engagements.

It was confirmed that members of the gang this afternoon – Saturday, October 24, 2020 – stormed Iju –Ishaga area of Lagos, State.

Insiders disclosed that they robbed some residents and attempted to burn a police station before they were repelled.

“About 30 of them stormed Elliot in Iju Ishaga and robbed some houses at the beginning of the streets, they attacked the police station in the area with the intent to burn it but the boys in the area refused to join them but helped the policemen to send them away”.

It was gathered that gang members did not wear any mask.

Insiders disclosed that the Awawa boys who came brandishing different weapons threw heavy stones and other objects at the policemen.

“It was obvious the policemen did not want to shoot them, the boys in the area were even more aggressive in chasing the Awawa boys away than the policemen they attacked” a source disclosed.

Insiders disclosed that there is a fear f a reinforced return of the Awawa boys tonight or some other time soon in the area.

The Awawa boys are known for moving in large numbers to either attack or rob a place or persons.
