#ENDSARS: Nigerian Government Hired Hoodlums To Attack Protesters- Aisha Yesufu

October 14, 2020.

  • One of the front-liners of the #ENDSARS protest, Aisha Yesufu has accused the Federal Government of hiring hoodlums to attack protesters in Abuja.

Yesufu who took to her twitter page to raise the alarm alleged that the hoodlums were being supervised by men of the Nigerian police force.

She further revealed that some of the protesters who were attacked and injured by the hired hoodlums were currently receiving treatment in the hospital.

“Oh no! Nigerian government repeating its wrongs. Hoodlums sent to attack Abuja protesters under the supervision of Nigerian police @PoliceNG The protesters were able to apprehend some and handed over to police. They also vandalised cars

“Some of the protesters in Abuja were injured and being taken to the hospital. The protesters are standing their ground. How will i tell this government that these are young adults fighting for their lives so you cannot treat them the way you treated those standing for empathy,” Yesufu tweeted.

It will be recalled that the Inspector General of Police Mohammed Adamu on Tuesday announced a replacement for the recently scrapped Special Anti-Robbery Squad SARS.

The development was, however, rejected by Nigerians who have chosen to continue with their agitation for reform in the Nigerian police form.
