#EndSARS: Police Deploy Officers In Ogun

  • Police formations across the country have started gearing up to prevent a recurrence of the #EndSARS protests
  • Lagos State Police Command, on Sunday, said it would crackdown against any form of outlawed gathering in the state

Ogun State Police Command said it has deployed officers to strategic locations to prevent any form of protest, especially the #EndSARS protest in the state.

Eko Hot Blog gathers that the state’s police spokesperson, DSP Abimbola Oyeyemi, said the command will not tolerate any form of demonstration as the country is just recovering from the aftermath of the #EndSARS protest.

“We have warned Ogun State residents to call their children to order. We will not tolerate any form of protest for now because we are just coming out of the bad effect of the protest that recently held across the country.

“We got the information that some misguided elements are trying to foment trouble once again. I cant call it a protest. They call it #EndSARS phase two.

“You cannot build something on nothing. You cannot stage a protest against an outfit that is no longer in existence. SARS has been disbanded and there is no reason for anybody to be canvassing for a protest against an outfit that is no longer in existence,” he said.

Similarly, the Presidency via a tweet on its verified twitter handle, vowed to mercilessly crackdown against any acts of hooliganism associated with the planned revival of the #EndSARS demonstrations across the country.
