#EndSARS: Police Disperse Protesters In Abuja With Teargas, Live Bullets
The Abuja campaign to demand for dissolution of the Special Anti Robbery Squad (SARS) unit of of the Nigerian police was disrupted on Saturday.
The police fired teargas canisters and shot live bullets n at hundreds of youth who converged on the force headquarters to protest brutality and intimidation by the Special Anti Robbery Squad (SARS).
The protesters had besieged the police headquarters on Saturday, demanding to meet with Mohammed Adamu, the inspector-general of police.
They had vowed to spend the night there, refusing to listen to the plea of the officers who addressed them.
The protesters had brought foods, drinks and other article of convenience in preparation for the overnight activity.
But they had to shelve their plan and scamper for s safety as soon as the police released teargas canisters.
Some of them were reportedly arrested and manhandled by the officers.
Popular activist and good governance advocate, Aisha yesufa, who joined the protest, was harassed and hounded by the police

The Nigerian Police beat up @AishaYesufu and scratched her car.
When they threw teargas she couldn’t run because of her age.
They surrounded her and beat her up.
