#EndSARS: Police Nab Hoodlum For Possessing AK-47 From Station

Edo State Police Command has arrested a hoodlum identified as Sunday Effiong who reportedly hijacked one AK-47 from a police station during the #EndSARS protest.

Eko Hot Blog gathered that Effiong was captured on video leaving the Oba Market Police Station with an AK-47 rifle belonging to the force during the protest.

Following the possession of the gun, the hoodlum was said to have formed a robbery gang after the #EndSARS protest and had been terrorising Benin and the environs.

Police said that he and his gang snatched an Audu 80 car and attacked a petrol station before they met their end.

A team of policemen who had gotten wind of their activity stormed the petrol station with heavy gunfire.

While Effiong was arrested in the process, two of the robbers were shot dead and one escaped.
