England Trio Nominated For 2024 Women’s Ballon d’Or
The trio, who played in the 2023 Women’s World Cup final where England was defeated by Spain, are part of a 30-player shortlist.

Reigning Ballon d’Or winner and Barcelona midfielder Aitana Bonmati, who led Spain to victory in that final, also features prominently on the list.
Chelsea has four representatives: Germany midfielder Sjoeke Nusken, Colombia striker Mayra Ramirez, and both Bronze and James, with Bronze having moved from Barcelona after her contract ended in June.
Japan’s Yui Hasegawa, a midfielder for Manchester City, and Spain and Arsenal forward Mariona Caldentey are also nominated.

Chelsea, the reigning Women’s Super League champions, are contenders for the club of the year award, competing against Barcelona, NJ/NY Gotham FC, Lyon, and Paris Saint-Germain.
For the women’s coach of the year, U.S. manager Emma Hayes is up against England boss Sarina Wiegman and Chelsea’s new head coach Sonia Bompastor.
The winners will be announced at a ceremony in Paris on October 28.
