EKO HOT BLOG reports that Nigerian actress, Eniola Badmus, has come under heavy criticism from her colleagues in the Nollywood industry for unveiling materials meant to be used for the swearing-in ceremony of the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential candidate, Bola Tinubu.
Badmus, who is a staunch supporter of Tinubu, took to her Instagram story on Sunday, February 26, to share pictures of Kampala materials that would be used during Tinubu’s swearing-in ceremony.
She also urged her followers to contact her to get their own materials for the event.
However, her post did not go down well with some of her colleagues in the entertainment industry, including Angela Eguavoen, who took to her verified Instagram page to slam Badmus for her insensitivity.
In a post, Eguavoen wrote, “ENIOLA BADMUS! YOU ARE VERY VERY INSENSITIVE AND UNCOUTH MA! The winner is yet to be declared and you are posting this, a fvcking public figure like you? No wonder @davido unfollowed you. ENIOLA BADMUS, I expected you to do better but apparently, you cannot give what you don’t have.”
It is not clear whether Badmus was aware that her post would spark such a backlash, but her colleagues have accused her of being insensitive and not considering the feelings of those who supported other candidates in the just-concluded presidential election.
Meanwhile, Nigerians are still waiting for the outcome of the presidential election, which took place on Saturday, February 25, with many hoping that the process will be free and fair, and that the winner will be declared without any controversy.
