Epe Club 50th Anniversary: “The Boys” Unveil Luxurious Lounge

In a landmark event, Epe Club marked its 50th anniversary with the unveiling of a luxurious lounge, a project spearheaded by a dynamic group known as The Boys.

The Boys, a coalition of like-minded Epe Club members, focus on fostering economic impact and social development within the club and the broader Epe community. Their latest initiative, the lounge, is a testament to their dedication and vision, adding a modern and interactive dimension to the club’s environment.

The unveiling, held on Saturday, December 21, at the Epe Clubhouse, was one of the highlights of the club’s golden jubilee celebrations and awards ceremony.

A Legacy of Excellence

The lounge, described as a hub for decision-making and relaxation, was officially declared open by the Club President, Hon. Adebola Rasheed Shabi. He praised The Boys for their vision and urged other groups within the club to follow suit.

“So, other groups of the club, let us emulate what The Boys have done. We have more space here,” Shabi encouraged.

The lounge is part of the ongoing construction of the Epe Clubhouse, a project entrusted to The Boys to develop as a dedicated section.

Commitment to Growth

Chief Yomi Dada, the Club President-elect and a member of The Boys, expressed gratitude to the club for the opportunity to contribute to its development.

“We want to thank the president and members of Epe Club for giving us this space to develop. We didn’t build this place; Epe Club gave it to us to build as a section, and we assure you that we will use it well,” he affirmed.

Engineer Adeniyi Ogunsanya, President and Senior Boy of The Boys, highlighted the lounge’s purpose and importance.

“This place is simply for decision-making and relaxation for The Boys. We’re one of the pillars of Epe Club and will make sure to see to the growth of Epe Club and the Epe division,” he stated during the ceremony.
