Epe Club Commemorates 50 Years, Honors Prominent Leaders with Excellence Awards

Ekohotblog reports that the Epe Club celebrated its golden jubilee on Saturday, December 21, 2024, in a spectacular event that recognized the outstanding contributions of prominent leaders to Lagos State and the Epe community.

The prestigious awards ceremony celebrated Lagos State Deputy Governor Dr. Kadri Obafemi Hamzat, Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly Rt. Hon. Mudashiru Ajayi Obasa, former Lagos State Governor Akinwunmi Ambode, CEO of Adron Homes and Properties Aare Adetola Emmanuel King, and Member of the Lagos State House of Assembly Hon. Abiodun Tobun.

The President of Epe Club, Engr. Hon. Adebola Shabi, presented the awards, describing the honorees as exemplary leaders who have made significant and lasting impacts on their communities.

Recognizing Excellence

Dr. Kadri Obafemi Hamzat was celebrated for his transformative approach to infrastructural and economic development. Engr. Shabi commended him as “a visionary leader whose innovative solutions have propelled Lagos State forward.”

Rt. Hon. Mudashiru Obasa was lauded for his legislative acumen and dedication to strengthening governance in Lagos State. “His leadership has set a standard for excellence in public service,” Shabi stated.

Former Governor Akinwunmi Ambode received accolades for his infrastructural strides in Epe, which have significantly improved the quality of life for residents. “Ambode’s vision has left an indelible mark on Epe, ensuring progress for generations to come,” Shabi remarked.

Aare Adetola Emmanuel King was honored for his philanthropic endeavors and groundbreaking contributions to housing development. Shabi described him as “a beacon of hope whose initiatives have enriched countless lives.”

Hon. Abiodun Tobun was recognized for his grassroots advocacy and commitment to the welfare of his constituents. “Tobun embodies the spirit of true leadership, tirelessly working for the growth and development of Epe,” Shabi noted.

Expressions of Gratitude

The event was attended by dignitaries, including Hon. Wale Raji and Hon. Monsuru Akinloye, who praised the honorees for their dedication and leadership.

Representing Aare Adetola Emmanuel King, Princess Tolulope Odegbami expressed gratitude for the recognition. “This honor belongs to the entire Epe community. It underscores the importance of unity and working together for a brighter future,” she said.

Hon. Abiodun Tobun, in his acceptance speech, reflected on the significance of the award as a call to action. “This is not just an award; it’s a reminder to continue striving for the betterment of our community,” he declared.
