Eko Hot Blog reports that the Epe Club has congratulated Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, and his deputy, Obafemi Hamzat, on their victory at the Lagos State Governorship Election Petition Tribunal.
The congratulatory message was contained in a statement issued by the Chairman, Board of Trustees (BOT), Otunba Bola Odebiyi, on behalf of the board, the Executive Committee and all Members of Epe Club, on Tuesday.

Recall that the tribunal on Monday affirmed that Sanwo-Olu and Hamzat were duly elected as the governor and deputy governor of the state in the March 18th election.
In affirming the Lagos governor’s victory, the court dismissed the petitions of Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour of the Labour Party (LP) and Olajide Adediran of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP).
The tribunal held that the petitions against Sanwo-Olu’s victory lacked merit.
The Epe club described the verdict as a reflection of the confidence Lagosians reposed in the Lagos governor.

The group urged him not to be distracted in the important work of delivering the dividends of democracy to millions of Lagos residents.
“The Chairman, Board of Trustees, Otunba Bola Odebiyi, on behalf of the B.O.T, the Executive Committee and all Esteemed Members of Epe Club, wish to extend our heartfelt congratulations to H.E Mr Babajide Sanwo-Olu as the Lagos State Governorship Election Petition Tribunal (L.S.G.E.P.T) affirmed your Victory at the Guber Polls of March 2023,” the statement reads.
“This reflects the reposed confidence of Lagosians, against all Odds, on your sterling leadership and commitment to greater Lagos.
“We therefore wish to encourage you to shun every seductive temptations and distractions, and focus on ensuring delivery of the dividends of Democracy, with equity, knowing the diverse yearnings, needs and expectations of Lagosians.
“It is our earnest prayers that as you commit to navigate the complex landscape of governance of our Dear State, having such plethora challenges, may the Almighty God, continue to grant you wisdom, strength, sound health and the much needed wherewithal to steer Lagos, with your Team, to greater heights.
“Again, accept the congratulations of Epe Club on your well deserved victory, at the Election Petition Tribunal.”
