The Epe Club, alongside family members, friends, and associates, gathered at the clubhouse to pay their final respects to one of its founding fathers, Otunba Taiwo Bola Odebiyi, who passed away at the 88.
Ekohotblog reports that the solemn event was attended by members of the Epe Club, Epe Grammar School Old Students Association (EGOSA), friends, and well-wishers who came from far and wide to honour his remarkable legacy.

Following the tribute session, Otunba Odebiyi’s remains was taken to the mosque for prayers before being laid to rest at his residence in accordance with Islamic rites.
Speakers at the fridau eulogized late Otunba Odebiyi, remembering him as a selfless leader, a unifier, and a man dedicated to the growth of his community.
Many described him as a man who lived a life of service, always prioritizing the well-being of others over himself.
Professor Onibon, a notable scholar and close associate of the deceased, spoke about his dedication to people’s welfare.
“Even in his last moments, he would always call to check on us, ensuring we were doing well. He never stopped asking if anyone needed anything. His generosity and kindness were unmatched,” he said.
Mrs. Tijani, another mourner, reflected on his ability to foster unity among family members.
“Otunba Odebiyi was the glue that kept many of us together. He was always bringing family members closer, ensuring that no one felt left out or forgotten,” she noted.
Honouring his contributions to the Epe Club, one of the senior members, Otunba Alebiosu, described Otunba Odebiyi as “a visionary who laid the foundation for what we now proudly call the Epe Club.
He has deeply invested in community development, education, and the empowerment of the younger generation.”
Another member, spoke about his generosity, stating, “He was always ready to give, whether it was advice, financial support, or mentorship. His doors were always open, and he never hesitated to lend a helping hand.”
As his body was lowered to rest, there was an overwhelming sense of gratitude for a life well lived.
His family members expressed appreciation for the outpouring of love and support, with a promise to uphold his legacy of service and unity.
