Eko Hot Blog reports that during the grand finale of the Kayokayo Festival, Hon. Moshood Bakare, the festival’s Chairman, made a compelling appeal to the distinguished sons and daughters of Epe who hold honourable positions.
He urged them to join forces to ensure the festival’s future success.
“Let us all come together so that everyone can witness the rich endowment of our Epe community,” the festival planning committee chairman said.
Bakare also took the opportunity to commend Oloja-Elect of Lagos Abiola Kosoko for his steadfast support of the community, acknowledging his significant contributions.
In her address, Chairperson Mrs. Tawakalitu Efunyemi Ogunnorin urged the community, particularly the youth, to refrain from participating in upcoming protests.
She highlighted the potential negative outcomes of such actions, cautioning that “bad things can turn into uncontrollable situations.”
Mrs. Ogunnorin called for unity and positive engagement to foster peace and progress within the community.
The grand finale underscored the importance of collective effort and solidarity in celebrating Epe’s cultural heritage and advancing the well-being of its residents.
