Eko Hot Blog reports that influential persons, including politicians, in the Epe Division of Lagos State have congratulated Senator Adetokunbo Mukhail Abiru on his 59th birthday.
Senator Abiru, who represents the Lagos East senatorial district in the Nigerian Senate, clocked 59 on Saturday.
The lawmaker has often been praised by his constituents for being a strong representative of their interests, a sentiment that earned him the moniker, “DoingGood senator”.
Rep. Wale Raji, the member of the House of Representatives representing Epe Federal Constituency, has joined in congratulating Senator Abiru on his 59th day.
The federal lawmaker described his contemporary in the National Assembly as an exemplary leader who has been a blessing to Lagos East.
He expressed confidence that the seasoned banker will continue to use his wealth of experience to deliver the dividends of democracy to his constituents.
In a lengthy tribute titled, ‘Tokunbo Abiru: Celebrating A Compassionate And A Dynamo’, Epe-based political scientist and trained public policy expert, Giwa Murtala Omotola-Moore, described the senator as “a man of substance” who is on a “mission to impact his environment positively.”
“A man of purpose who lives but not by happenstance or impulse,” Omotola-Moore wrote in the glowing birthday message.
Highlighting Senator Abiru’s exploits in the private and public sectors, the public policy expert praised the former bank executive for having significant leadership qualities such as integrity and competence.
“DoingGood Senator is a man of focus, drive, zeal and determination. He does not court cheap popularity or mass revalidation neither does he fancy unnecessary garrulous presence,” Omotola-Moore wrote.
The Epe-based political influencer also revealed the many achievements of Senator Abiru since he became a lawmaker in December 2020, including COVID-19 relief funds, loan schemes for MSMEs, scholarship for indigent students, and empowerment programmes for youths.
The management of Eko Hot Blog Media Organisation has also sent greetings to Senator Abiru on his birthday.
The fast-growing media organisation hailed the senator for being an excellent representative of his people.
While wishing Senator Abiru many more years in good health, Eko Hot Blog urged the lawmaker not to relent in his duty of being a strong voice for Lagos East residents in the Senate.
