Epe electricity restoration: Power finally restored to Ketu and Ejinrin areas

Residents of Ererufu, Ketu, and Ejinrin areas in Epe, Lagos State, are celebrating over the successful restoration of electricity  after months of blackout.

Ekohotblog reports that this achievement is credited to the collaborative efforts of the Executive Chairmen—Otunba Wale Raji Anomo of Ikosi-Ejinrin LCDA, Hon. Monsuru Ismail Akinloye of Eredo LCDA, and Princess Surah Olayemi Animashaun of Epe Local Government—working closely with the Lagos State Ministry of Energy and Ikeja Electric.

The prolonged power outage had caused significant discomfort to residents and impacted local businesses, but the restoration has brought relief and renewed hope to the community.

Speaking on the development, Hon. Monsuru Ismail Akinloye, Chairman of Eredo LCDA, expressed gratitude to the residents for their patience and support during the challenging period.

“We understand the hardship the prolonged blackout caused, but we appreciate the resilience and patience of our people.

This restoration is a testament to our commitment to improving the quality of life for our citizens,” Akinloye stated.

Echoing this sentiment, Otunba Wale Raji Anomo, Chairman of Ikosi-Ejinrin LCDA, emphasized the importance of community cooperation in maintaining the restored power supply.

“We urge all residents to be vigilant and report any suspicious activities around power installations.

Our joint security task force is actively working to prevent vandalism, but community support is crucial in safeguarding public assets,” Anomo advised.

Princess Surah Olayemi Animashaun, Executive Chairman of Epe Local Government, also highlighted the continuous efforts being made to ensure stable electricity supply across the region.

She assured residents that the remaining areas still facing outages would have power restored by the end of the week.

“We are not relenting until every community is fully powered. Our administration remains committed to ensuring that Epe’s growth is supported by stable and reliable infrastructure,” Animashaun affirmed.
