Access to education in rural communities of Epe Federal Constituency has received a major boost as four new schools have been built within three years under the leadership of Mr. Wale Raji, Member of the Federal House of Representatives.
Eko Hot Blog reports that the lawmaker, who disclosed this during an interview in Epe on Thursday, said the initiative was part of his strategy to reduce out-of-school children, ease the burden on parents, and promote literacy in the division.
“The development is to give children the opportunity to live a better life and be useful to themselves and society,” Raji explained.
The four schools are located in Temu, Ilege, Owu-Ikosi, and Oko-Abe. At Temu, a senior secondary section has been added to complement the existing junior school up to JSS 3, while the other three schools have begun admitting pioneer JSS 1 students. Teachers have already been deployed by government to ensure quality learning.

Beyond education, Raji highlighted other constituency interventions, including the construction of over 300 lock-up shops and open stalls to promote local commerce.
He also facilitated cooperative loans, food palliatives, agricultural tools, fertilizers, and cash gifts for farmers and small business owners.
“Youth empowerment remains one of my top priorities. Vocational and technical training programmes, scholarships, and student engagement initiatives are part of my interventions over the years,” he said.
The lawmaker stressed that his projects were designed to make constituents self-reliant, boost household income, and reduce unemployment, assuring that more development initiatives would be rolled out in the coming years.
“I will continue to give back to my constituents and ensure they enjoy the dividends of good governance and effective representation,” Raji added.
