Epe Kayokayo 2022: Wale Raji Commissions Modern ‘Etufu,’ Sues For Peace Among APC Members

Wale Raji has called on members of the APC in his consituency to enbrace peace as he commissions the  Modern ‘Etufu,’ at the 2022 Epe Kayokayo festival. 

EKO HOT BLOG reports that the lawmaker representing Epe Federal Constituency at the House of Representatives, Hon Wale Raji, has urged members of the All Progressive Congress, APC, in the constituency to embrace peace for the growth of the party and the entire town at large.

Wale Raji made the call in his address during the commissioning of the modern “etufu” presented by the royal Kosoko Family led by HRH Abiola Kosoko, the Oloja-elect of Lagos,  at the 2022 Kayokayo festival on Saturday 27th August 2022 at the Epe Marina Waterfront.

The former secretary of the festival’s organizing committee recalled that his leadership has redefined representation, stressing that a new standard has been set which has birthed the institution of several physical and social infrastructural projects such as schools, roads, ICT centres, and markets amongst others.

“I promise that we will continue to represent you qualitatively; we will never disappoint you. You voted for us in 2015, and we didn’t disappoint you. You voted for us in 2019, and we didn’t disappoint you. Insha Allah, we will not disappoint you come 2023.

“I will also use this medium to thank you all members of APC that gave me unprecedented support during the primaries where I scored 93.3% of the total votes.

“However, during the primaries, there were issues. We stepped on one another’s toes. It is only failure that you can’t jostle for, everyone wants to be successful.

“Now, anyone who has offended me during the primaries or any election in the past, I seize the opportunity of this night to say that I have forgiven anybody.

“Anyone who I have also offended by words of the mouth or by my attitude, I humbly and sincerely seek forgiveness. Let us open a new chapter. We can disagree politically but we should not remain permanently disagreeable,” he said.

Earlier, the Lawmaker gave astonishing commendations to the organisers of the festival which he said had attained an unimaginable height.

While he added that everyone at home and abroad has become a stakeholder through the transparent crowdfunding process, Wale Raji extolled the Kosoko family for maintaining links with Epe town despite the return of King Kosoko to Lagos.

EKO HOT BLOG reports that earlier in the carnival procession that awakened the town, a huge number of supporters of the lawmaker adorned in their fashionable uniform Ankara outfits and blue caps added colour, glamour and more vibes to the festival.
