Epe Kayokayo Planning Committee Seeks Donations, Sponsorship As Festival Draws Near

  • Kayokayo is one of the most iconic festivals celebrated in Epe.
  • It is usually celebrated within one month of a new Islamic calendar year.
  • The festival also commemorates the grand entry of Oba Kosoko in 1851 when he came with his followers to Epe.

Eko Hot Blog reports that the Epe Kayokayo Festival Planning Committee has called on Epe indigenes to donate, sponsor, and place ads for the next edition of the event.

The committee’s Coordinator, Otunba TJ Abass, made the call in a statement on Saturday.
