Epe LG Chair, Animashaun Named EDCAA Epe Division Female Ambassador of the Year
Ekohotblog reports that the Executive Chairman of Epe Local Government, Hon. (Princess) Surah Animashaun, has been recognized as the Epe Division Community Annual Award (EDCAA) Female Ambassador of the Year 2024.
This prestigious accolade acknowledges her exemplary leadership and unwavering commitment to the development of Epe Local Government.
As the first female local government chairman in the region, Hon. Princess Surah Animashaun has championed impactful initiatives in infrastructure, healthcare, and women’s and youth empowerment.
At the award ceremony, the Chairman was ably represented by the Vice Chairman, Hon. Sikiru Owolomoshe, and the Secretary to the Local Government, Hon. Rahmon Saheed Olalekan.
The organizers of the EDCAA praised her dedication to public service, stating:
“Hon. Princess Surah Animashaun’s relentless efforts to create a more inclusive, thriving, and progressive Epe have been truly remarkable. Her achievements continue to inspire the community.”
In a statement delivered on her behalf, Hon. Princess Surah Animashaun expressed her gratitude:

Highlighting her achievements, the Vice Chairman, Hon. Sikiru Owolomoshe, remarked:

The EDCAA Female Ambassador of the Year award is the latest in a series of accolades for Hon. Princess Surah Animashaun. Earlier this year, she was celebrated as the Best Performing Female Council Chairman in Lagos State at the YOMAFA Global Awards 2024.
Hon. Rahmon Saheed Olalekan further added:
“This award highlights her tireless service to the people of Epe. It motivates us all to continue the good work and ensure the progress of our community.”
