During the conversation, Animashaun emphasized the importance of having a positive attitude towards life, people, and neighbors. She condemned actions that hinder the growth and progress of others, urging people to embrace a new, positive spirit during the Ramadan season.
“It is time to let go of old ways and embrace a new, positive spirit,” Animashaun stated. “One day, we will all return to our Creator, and our actions on earth will be reflected when we meet our Maker. Therefore, it is imperative to be good to people and to ourselves.”
The chairman encouraged extending a hand of fellowship to others, including workers, friends, neighbors, and beyond, as this is the essence of Ramadan. She also urged the audience to keep believing in God and to have faith that Nigeria will become great, calling for an end to cursing and instead praying for the nation’s leaders to succeed.
Addressing the youth, Animashaun stressed the importance of changing their orientation and helping them understand the significance of their role in society. She highlighted the transparent system she has implemented in the local government, which allows the youth to understand that they too can occupy leadership positions and voice their concerns without fear of criticism.
“I encourage them to bring forth their ideas and concerns, which will be discussed and utilized for the betterment of all,” Animashaun said.
“The youth are given free access to the local government and are fully involved in governance. This inclusive approach ensures that their voices are heard and their perspectives are valued.”
Recognizing the challenging times faced by the community, the chairman assured that palliative distribution would continue on a monthly basis, demonstrating the local government’s commitment to supporting its residents.
