Eko Hot Blog reports that the Chairman, Epe Local Government, Hon. (Princess) Surah O. Animashaun, has donated 100 free General Certificate Examination (GCE) forms to indigenes of Epe.
According to a statement issued by the Epe LG media team on Saturday, the donation was in accordance with the core pillars of Animashaun’s mandate.
The statement noted that the initiative, which seeks to promote literacy and capacity building within the community, was open to individuals of all ages as a means to encourage more people to embrace and benefit from the dividends of furthering their education.
While donating the forms, the Epe LG chairman described education as a driver for achieving freedom and equality for all.
Animashaun, who was represented by the LG vice chairman, further expressed her commitment to improving the school system in Epe and empowering all who are genuinely passionate about educating themselves.
While extolling the merits of a good education, she enjoined the screened recipients and all present at the ceremony where the GCE forms were handed out to “make good use of the opportunity presented to them by studying hard, aiming for greatness and achieving excellence.”
