Epe LG Stakeholders Meet, Urge Chairman Animashaun To Sustain Progress

Eko Hot Blog reports that Hon. Surah Olayemi Animashaun, the Chairman of Epe local government, on Thursday, convened a stakeholders meeting at the LG secretariat to deliberate on the administration’s journey since assuming office two years ago.

The Epe LG vice chairman, Hon. Sikiru Owolomoshe, delivered the welcome address, greeting the attendees gathered for the meeting.
On her part, Hon. Animashaun extended a heartfelt greeting to all present, while highlighting her achievements over the past two years.
The Epe LG boss also informed the gathering about her administration’s ongoing efforts to provide palliative materials to vulnerable residents.
“I am pleased to share my achievements over the past two years with all of you,” she stated.
“Notable among them are the refurbishment of locked markets in Ayetoro, intended for allocation to indigenes, and the successful recruitment of over 600 workers for the local government.
“Quarterly distribution of palliatives to the people to empower them, monthly palliatives to feed the people due to economic hardships as a result of the removal of fuel subsidy.
“We have also made significant strides in infrastructure enhancements, including the development of roads, the establishment of a health center, and the installation of street lights in Salaibu, Ayetutu, and Papa Epe. Furthermore, I am proud to announce the introduction of free delivery services for women at the general hospital before Governor Sanwo-Olu started his, among other impactful initiatives.”
The forum provided stakeholders with the opportunity to voice challenges and suggest areas for improvement.
Hon. Animashaun addressed their concerns, while Hon. Abiodun Tobun, a member of the Lagos State House of Assembly representing Epe constituency 1, conveyed a goodwill message, emphasising unity and progress.
He advised her not to expect praises from people but keep working for the good of Epe people to create and sustain her legacy.

Stakeholders expressed satisfaction with the chairman’s achievements and urged her to increase awareness about her initiatives across the Epe community.
The meeting ended with a hope of collaboration and a larger audience at the next gathering.
It was attended by various dignitaries and other representatives from the Epe community—ranging from councilors and chiefs to security agencies, market women, and youth leaders.
