The Executive Chairman of Epe Local Government, Hon. Princess Surah O. Animashaun FHTI, has announced the 2025 Tuberculosis (TB) Awareness Week in partnership with Lagos State Health District 3.
Ekohotblog gathers that the program will take place on April 9th and 10th, 2025, from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Epe Primary Health Care Center.

This year’s theme is “Yes! We Can End TB”, and the program aims to help people learn more about TB and get tested and treated for free.

There will also be a special TB Van that will go around Epe to help more people get tested and treated.
Hon. Princess Surah said the event is part of her promise to keep the people of Epe healthy. “We started this program last year, and it helped many people. That’s why we are doing it again,” she said. “I want everyone in Epe to come out and make use of these free services.”
She also said that fighting TB is something everyone should care about. “Together, we can stop TB in our community. Let’s do it for ourselves and our families,” she added.
A health official from the state also shared that early testing and treatment can save lives. “TB can be cured, but people need to come forward early. This program helps make that possible,” the official said.
