The Nigerian Union of Local Government Employees (NULGE), Epe Local Government Chapter, marked a significant milestone on Tuesday, December 24, 2024, as the executive leadership team was celebrated for its outstanding achievements within a year.
Ekohotblog reports that the event, held at the council chamber, saw the Executive Chairman of Epe Local Government, Hon. Princess Surah Olayemi Animashaun, represented by the Vice Chairman, Hon. Sikiru Owolomoshe, commend the dedication and commitment of NULGE under the leadership of Comrade Omolara Aiyeola.

“Your dedication and loyalty are the bedrock of our successes. As we approach a new year, I encourage you to sustain these commendable efforts,” Hon. Owolomoshe remarked, praising the council staff for their loyalty and excellent performance.
The Head of Recruitment and Operations, Mr. Oyefuwa, lauded Comrade Aiyeola’s transformative leadership, noting her prioritization of staff welfare and remarkable achievements within a short time.
In her response, Comrade Aiyeola expressed gratitude to the council leadership and staff for their support, describing their accomplishments as a collective effort.
She acknowledged Hon. Princess Surah Animashaun as her “sweet mother” and a pillar of strength.
Underlining her administration’s achievements, she stated:
Improved staff welfare programs.
Successfully hosting NULGE branches from all 57 Local Government Areas and LCDAs in Lagos State, a historic first for Epe.
Acquisition of a NULGE bus and plans for a staff bus.
The event featured celebrations of staff birthdays for October, November, and December with cakes and gift presentations.
Exceptional staff members, both pensionable and non-pensionable, were honored with cash prizes for their dedication and punctuality. Winners of games organized for the occasion also received cash rewards.
The atmosphere was filled with appreciation and joy, showcasing the unity and progress achieved under Comrade Aiyeola’s exemplary leadership.
