Epe Ogunmodede Club Asks Students To Apply For Bursary Award (HOW TO APPLY)

  • The club said it is providing funds for vulnerable students.
  • Interested students are expected to write an essay convincing the sponsor that they deserve financial assistance.

Eko Hot Blog reports that the Epe Ogunmodede Club (EOC) has released forms for its 2023/2024 bursary award application.

In a notice issued on Friday, the club said the application process commenced today, August 11, 2023, and will close on or before 2pm on Friday, 25th August 2023.

WHO IS QUALIFIED?

Students of Epe origin who are undergoing tertiary education, regardless of where they are studying, are eligible to apply for the bursary.

The Epe Ogunmodede Club said the initiative will provide funds for deserving indigent students.

“The Epe Ogunmodede Club [EOC] is delighted to offer financial assistance to students of Epe origin who are pursuing tertiary education,” the club announced.

“This initiative of the Club aims to provide funds for deserving indigent students of Epe origin. Your participation in this assessment will enable us to determine the most eligible candidates who met our requirements for the Bursary support.

“Students of Epe origin who are undergoing tertiary education are invited to take advantage of this opportunity by downloading and completing the attached form and submit same with necessary attachments within the stipulated deadline.”

The Epe Ogunmodede Club further stated that the submission could be in hard copy with necessary attachments to the club secretariat on Awolowo Road, Epe, Lagos State, or by scanning the duly completed form with attachments and submitting same via the email address: eoc.bursary.form@gmail.com.

WHAT DO YOU NEED FOR APPLICATION?

The bursary application form asks eligible students for personal information such as their name, age, gender, family house address, name of head of family, amongst others.

It also seeks educational background information, including name of tertiary institution, course of study, duration of study, level of study, current CGPA, amongst others.

Furthermore, applicants are required to write a brief essay (200-300 words) explaining why they believe they deserve the Bursary support.

“Highlight your academic achievements, extra-curricular activities and how this financial aid would benefit your educational pursuit,” part of the form reads.

Also, two referees, including the Head of Family/Mogaji and the Chief representing applicant’s quarters on Olu-Epe-in-Council, must sign the application.

Additionally, applicants must attach a Copy of Birth Certificate, Copy of student’s identity card, Latest academic transcript/profile (where applicable), JAMB admission letter, JAMB result slip and SSCE/NECO result, to their application. The documents will be verified.
