Epe Residents Express Mixed Feelings Over “Stay At Home” Order

Residents of Epe community on Wednesday, in Epe, express their diverse opinions on the directives of government “Stay at Home” order.

According to our reporter who went round the town on a survey noticed a high level of compliance of residents to the order, Eko Hot Blog’s reports.

The localities visited includes Ibonwon, Mojoda, Noforija, Aiyetoro, Ita- Opo and Oke-Balogun.

According to a resident, Mr Titilayo Adebanjo said that there is a high level of compliance by residents to the government’s directive.

He said that the compliance was as a result of the cooperation of the government security agencies, who did not compromise the government’s order.

Miss Zainab Olarenwaju, the Assistant General Secretary of Concerned Nation Builders Initiative (CNI) applauded the government’s stay at home order.

She said that the development has in no small measure helped to curtail the spread of the virus in the community.

Olarenwaju said that, although, there are some residents who disobeyed government order the majority of the people are in total compliance.

“Everywhere is quiet and people are in order and obeying government directive, ” she said.

Also, Mr Babatunde Kaka testified to the stay at home order.

He said that he has been at home with his family since the beginning of the lockdown.

Kaka urged residents to continue to obey the government order for their own interest.

In the same vein, Miss Peju Akanji was delighted that there has been no case of coronavirus recorded in Epe community.

“This development shows the compliance level of residents to the government’s order.

“Epe residents are law-abiding and obedient to the government order, ” she said.

She commended Gov. Babajide Sanwo-Olu’s developmental Initiatives towards the fight against the coronavirus pandemic in Lagos.

Akanji urged Epe residents to continue in the spirit of cooperation with the Gov. Sanwo-Olu led administration.
